Hello Dearest Rogers Arena Division 1307 member,
It has come to my attention these last few days that there are more and more event showing up on Better Impact, and as a result, some of our newer members are signing up to these events.
In general, if you do not yet have a uniform, you may be new, and therefore are not eligible to join other division events.
Generally, a volunteer needs to pass their probation with SJA in order to get a uniform and volunteer elsewhere than Rogers Arena.
This is one of the reasons that we have a few uniforms stashed in the drawers (some of you may have noticed). In order to get a uniform, the current rules that are imposed upon me by our Provincial and Area counterparts are that:
volunteers have a valid AMFR Certificate (this can be the challenge course for EMA Licensed volunteers)
volunteers are in good standing with their online trainings (inlet of good attendance at training nights for other divisions)
volunteers have completed a minimum of 60 hours with SJA events (at Rogers Arena for our members)
There is still currently a shortage of uniforms in the province, and I have been asked to hold off a bit with uniform distributions.
In order to go to an event not run by Rogers Arena, you MUST get permission from the DS (Philippe Lurol)/ or Event Coordination Officer (Arron Kar) by emailing rogers.arena@sjabcy.ca. There is no exception to this.
If you have already signed up, please contact rogers.arena@sjabcy.ca immediately to assess your situation.
Each volunteer event request will be assessed volunteer by volunteer, on a case by case basis.
Also, after any out-of-division events, volunteers need to email the above email, to have their hours entered if it is not automatic, and to let the event coordination officer know, as this is necessary for tracking.
ID Cards: are coming.
If you have not already done so, please take a selfie in a white or uniform shirt, on a light plain or white background and upload a photo to better impact.
You will also need these photos to set up your new accounts on the new VMS system which is coming later this month.
Finally, please check out our ever improving awesome website!!! (For members only at this time) https://raodivision1307.ca/
Thats all for now,
Thanks for reading
