Hello Dear Division 1307 Member
I write this email bearing news of the switchover from better Impact to the new software, Volunteer Management System (VMS for short)
I also apologize for the delay in informing you on this new system, to be honest, I did not yet know much more than you.
You may have seen a number of emails come up about some events at Rogers Arena, you may even have clicked a link to try and sign up, but found that you were unable to access the system. This is completely normal, as the information from Better Impact is slowly and meticulously being added into the new system, which apparently sends an email every time an event is published. This was new for us as well and we have taken steps to mitigate the number of emails you receive. Unfortunately it does mean that there will be a few more days of delay for the switchover.
I just found out that the deadline for entering hours is today July 2nd. All hours prior to July 1st should have been entered, if they are not, please do it immediately as head office is transferring the hours today. We can try and work with you for past hours but there will be no guarantees.
After today (business hours), DO NOT ENTER ANY MORE HOURS INTO BETTER IMPACT. (They will not be counted) Thank you.
Assuming everything goes according to plan, you should receive your log in information in the next couple of days. Please be sure to follow all instructions.
The original deadline for the switch to VMS has already passed, and we are very grateful for your patience as the final steps are taken to get us upgraded to the new system. We know that there will be some growing pains as we learn this system together, and hope that you will make us proud as we become the most proficient division with it (out of necessity). In the mean time, please continue to sign up with better impact, and log your hours promptly,
Thank you for what you do for our division and for St John Ambulance as a whole.
You, and all our volunteers make me so proud to have the opportunity to lead us all into this new chapter.
Sincerely,
Philippe Lurol, MStJ,
